No need for a giant company to step in and call the shots.
Furthermore, this could help us fight climate change. You see, one of the reasons why there’s so much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is because we burn fossil fuels to create electricity. But with this new system, there’s less need to burn these harmful fuels. Everyone could generate their own renewable electricity and share leftovers with the community.
The really cool thing about blockchain and energy is that it could ultimately lead to cheaper, greener and fairer electricity industry. Imagine that – a world where everyone has a say in their power. It sounds almost too good to be true, but it could just be the reality in the near future!
Remember that change never happens overnight, it usually takes a while, and blockchain and energy is no different. But remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. It may take some time for everyone to understand and trust this new technology, but when it happens, it could bring about a major shift in how we produce and consume energy.
